This study was completed following the devastating hurricanes of Katrina, Rita and Wilma. The study specifically addresses hunger in the service territory of the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina as well as national hunger issues. Over 100 food banks associated with America's Second Harvest participated in research for the study including volunteers, researchers, academics and charitable agency staff.
